So he is a prison lawyer now? Not under Democrat leadership. I think SBF actually paid both parties off. I am still waiting for Jon Corzine to get a prison term...
Well I guess John Corzine his “better” Then SBF in the sense that he didn’t commit blatant fraud, It’s still crazy to me the absolutely retarded bet he took which brought down MF global. You are going to bet your entire firm on European sovereign debt repo? Pathetic. I would love to see him in jail but I’m not holding my breath.
His mom and dad are influential Stanford law school professors. They will see to it that their son walks away unblemished. At worst, I see him getting a mild admonishment from regulators perhaps with a few punitive fines.
Funny part of the video when he admits he got hacked and lost 300K at Metamask, what the fuck that is. Starts at 4 mins.
Did Corzine loot the MF Global customer funds and spend the money on himself? They normally go easier on you if you don't lavish the money on yourself. A fine or home detention (like the Hound of Hounslow) SBF buying $40 million houses. Some reports say $300million used to buy property. That is a different league from Corzine. Even that Tyco CEO got time for looting his company and buying $6000 shower curtains for himself, and that wasn't even customer deposits.
Metamask it's a digital wallet, works as a browser app. Looks like a plugin app on chrome, if I remember correctly a simple password would access the wallet. Probably a simple hack if the computer is hacked. Edit: found online "when you create a Metamask wallet, Metamask shows you a 12 word seed phrase that allows you to recover your wallet in an emergency. This 12 word seed phrases is actually a human readable representation of the private key securing this wallet."
His net worth is 350MM so you tell me. He didn't have to pay any restitution either. SBF's real estate will be sold. I doubt he will have much money left over when this is all over.
At the end of the day, i think MF Global's customers were made whole, MF Global shareholders got wiped-out. Corzine got off with a $5 Million fine, no jail time, which he wasn't allowed to pay from insurance. He he had to pay it himself. If all FTX customer deposits are made whole, then SBF shouldn't get any jail either, based on the same precedent. There is still the question of looting the company for personal mansions, that may or may not be illegal in the Bahamas..
This really scares me. How can someone not even know the infant-baby steps in crypto, yet be giving advice here on Elite Trader's crypto forum?
