salary requirements for margin accounts

What's a general minimum for financial requirements, such as net worth/yearly salary/etc, when applying for a margin account? In respect to trading stocks. I know that it probably varies from broker to broker, but I just want a general idea.

I think they just want anyone with a pulse

 

over 25k (some firms more, but this is generally the number I have seen) or application gets flagged

As a test, fill out a few different applications/brokers and experiment with listed incomes - less than 25k sets off certain warnings

 

put down 1 mil , nobody will check.
