No nudity, but the protagonist loses his gambling stake (risk management failure), gets into trouble with the mob, loses his girlfriend who despises his gambling habit (surely similar to many ET members), and drops out of school so he can pursue his passion as a professional gambler (just like the new ET posters that pass through once every few weeks). It's a great inspirational story for all aspiring pikers, imho.
Luke, this is probably the best trading movie ever. Yes, it's about poker, but everything in the movie applies to trading and is probably the most quotable movie in the history of cinema since "Casablanca". This movie is about as good as it gets. I doubt the equal will be able to match it. The first movie had a shoestring budget and lived and died on the script alone. Here is a classic that absolutely applies to trading: In "Confessions of a Winning Poker Player," Jack King said, "Few players recall big pots they have won, strange as it seems, but every player can remember with remarkable accuracy the outstanding tough beats of his career." It seems true to me, cause walking in here, I can hardly remember how I built my bankroll, but I can't stop thinking of how I lost it.
