Damn. Crashed yesterday, and teetering around -20% again in after-hours right now. Tomorrow another inflation report hits, maybe she'll keep taking even still. I guess this means Cathy is doubling-down again?
Finalllllyyyyyyyy I will never ever understand why anyone would buy this stock. I have wanted to always short it but never did. This was a stock that I believe Cathy said was going to move significantly higher. I'm like the hype behind this company she touts is just Ludacris.
February 2024 She says roku to 1500 a share. This just tells you how ridiculous this market and price predictions are getting. If she is giving roku a $1500 price target imagine where the dow and s&p would be...nasdaq would be at 25000 easily to see people paying 1500 a share for roku Ark Invest believes Roku stock could trade at $1,493 per share by 2026, implying a 1,540% upside. https://www.fool.com/investing/2024/02/07/top-growth-stock-buy-soars-cathie-wood-ark/
ROKU had twin peaks at ~475 It can never ever reach the peak again, now and forever, till the end of the time. FULL STOP.
Single & twin peaks, multiple peaks (aka swing up swing down swing up swing down ....), No peak (trendless/aimless stock) patterns are common. Of the above 3, single & twin peaks are most uncommon.
If you go to forums, groups, chats regarding TV streaming and cable cutting...you dont see many younger consumers talking about Roku at all. You see talk of Kodi with Umbrella, PLex, Tablo..and the tech purists who love SiliconDust products. Cisco REALLY missed the boat here along with the boring Roku. With Tablo or HD Homerun you can get everything thats on Roku..,But for free. Both Roku and Cisco (complete miss on cloud streaming) are strong sell
Yeah that's what I gleaned from reading r/cordcutters (Reddit). Roku was popular on r/cordcutters until about a year ago. Seems everybody on there loves the AppleTV 4K device. The people there do love Tablo & Plex. Seems like most of the posts are about getting the right antenna for your HDTV. The general consensus is Hulu & YoutubeTV are the best streamers.
