Last night, hundreds of white nationalists, alt-righters, and white supremacists gathered at the University of Virginia to for a torch-lit march ahead of today’s “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The rally today is expected to attract thousands at Emancipation Park, where a statue of Robert E. Lee is scheduled to be removed by the city. The Southern Poverty Law Center is describing the rally as the “largest hate-gathering of its kind in decades in the United States.” During the march last night, protesters were heard chanting “white lives matter” and “blood and soil,” among other things. And, by the end of the rally, the white nationalists had gotten into brawls with counter-protesters, leading to police to break the whole thing up. http://www.nbc12.com/story/36119820...dges-decision-regarding-unite-the-right-rally

That is insulting to all Republicans. Very few Republicans support the alt-right crowd. Let's talk about about all the KKK members who ran for office as Democrats over the past 10 years.
Unfortunately the alt-right has a pretty loud voice in the Republican Party these days thanks to trump and co. Even if most republicans condem them, right now the most important one isn't.
Retired KKK leader and Trump supporter David Duke out in full support http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/david-duke-charlottesville-rally-trump-promises David Duke: Charlottesville Rally ‘Fulfills The Promises Of Donald Trump’ During a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va. on Saturday, former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke said the event is in line with President Trump’s “promises.” “This represents a turning point for the people of this country. We are determined to take our country back,” Duke said. “We are going to fulfill the promises of Donald Trump. That’s what we believed in. That’s why we voted for Donald Trump, because he said he’s going to take our country back.” Right-wing blogger Jason Kessler organized the Saturday rally to protest Charlottesville’s decision to remove a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee from Emancipation Park. Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has declared a state of emergency in response. Duke never shied away from his support for Trump since the Republican primary in 2016, in which Trump also came under fire for not initially disavowing the former KKK leader’s endorsement. Previously, Duke served one term as a Louisiana state representative. Duke’s most recent foray into politics involved a failed run for the Louisiana Senate.
