I want to learn how to generate trading ideas in stocks, currencies, and commodities using macroeconomic indicators.

I recently watched Anton Kreil's videos and was very pleased overall. He recommends this approach before using financial statements analysis and technical analysis. Unfortunately, he gives very few details on macroeconomic indicators.

I have just started reading the book 'Secrets of Economic Indicators.' It doesn't seem very practical.

    Any suggestions?

I prefer to learn from books rather than videos wherever possible.

"Trading catalysts" (how events move markets and create opportunities) from Robert I. Webb.
This book is about catalysts including some economic indicators. You will find example of geopolitical events, effects on markets of policy makers speeches, market condition and sentiments, etc.
At the end of every chapter, you will find references and sources: This overlooked information is however very interesting.

I think that after a learning process, if you really are interested by this kind of trading, a source of all kind of macro and micro fundamental indicators like Reuteurs Eikon or Metastock Xenith (same for retail) will be your next step.
You also could use a Squawk audio like The TradeXchange.

    Best!
