Countries with the Highest Proportion of Immigrants
For people living in cosmopolitan urban centers, it’s easy to overestimate the prevalence of immigrants around the world.

The median proportion of foreign-born people in all countries is just over 5%. In countries with a population greater than one million, only four are majority foreign-born, and only eight surpass the one-third mark.

The United Arab Emirates comes out on top for the highest proportion of immigrants in its population. Impressively, the small Middle Eastern nation ranks sixth in the world for total immigrant population (8.7 million people).

Other countries on the Arabian Peninsula also rank at the top of this list. In Qatar, current host of the 2022 World Cup, 3-in-4 people are immigrants. The high proportion of foreign workers in the country also results in an extreme demographic skew—approximately 75% of the population of Qatar is male.

The one extreme outlier in the region is war-torn Yemen, where only 1.3% of the population are immigrants.

Outside the Middle East, Singapore (43%) takes top spot, followed by Australia (30%).

    Spotlight on U.S. Immigration
Although the United States is outside the top 20, it still has by far the most immigrants of any other country (50 million vs. 16 million in second-place Germany).

About 15% of people in the U.S. are immigrants—numbers which are comparable to the historic high in the late 19th century. The proportion of foreign-born people in the country has been on the rise since the 1970s, and is projected to continue rising in coming decades. Around 2030, immigration is expected to surpass natural increases as a driver of population growth.

How many of the counties in your list are accepting ILLEGAL immigration? Legal immigrants are welcome. In fact, we need more. The uncontrollable flow of illegals is damaging.

  3. Canada, for example, goes totally and completely nutso over a handful of illegals crossing over in Manitoba or Ontario. Y'all may remember that Trudeau, at one point, said that "Canada would take any immigrants that the U.S. did not want or would not accept." VIRTUE SIGNALLING TO THE WORLD HOW WOKE CANADA WAS AND HOW BARBARIAN THE AMERICANS ARE. They have not taken one fucking immigrant or may any overtures toward accepting any illegals at our southern border. NONE.

Meanwhile, right as we speak they have just approved or are talking about upping their immigration so, as to be expected, it is all about discussions about which skills are needed and how to recruit the right workers for the future economy, so on and so forth. And the politicians in Quebec, as usual, are demanding that the immigrants there be French-speaking so as to not dilute the francophone culture, etc. etc. They might take some Ukrainians or the like in highly selective scenarios that make them look good and are pre-approved by the public.

They would all go completely and totally tits up if they had uncontrolled mob plunging across their border every day as we do. As we know, lefty Trudeau (his father included) can turn very authoritarian very fast.

It should be noted that the top five countries such as the UAE on this list treat low-income immigrant laborers basically as slaves. First it should be noted that normally these immigrants have their passports and documents seized by their employers for the length of their contracts. Second, non-citizens in these countries have a different law system imposed on them which is more harsh than the standard set of laws for citizens. Note these immigrants in the UAE are not like legal immigrants in the U.S. where there is a pathway to citizenship -- all will eventually be sent back to their home countries and are only in the kingdom to provide low cost labor. Despite the immigrants greatly outnumbering the citizens in these kingdoms -- it is not like the immigrants have the ability to protest about their living and work conditions (including numerous deaths) without severe repercussions from the authorities.

  6. Those immigrants are currently appealing to Prime Minister Bone-Saw for more humane treatment.

The current flow of immigrants into the US is illegal. There are zero other countries in the World allowing it except the USA. This is a crime and it is actively promoted by Democrats (need votes) and Capital (need cheap labor). Republicans are also not all clean here. Money needs slaves and money buys all politicians.

"There are zero other countries in the World allowing it except the USA."

    You got to be kidding.
There are numerous countries around the world facing illegal immigration problems. India for instance has tens of millions of illegal immigrants. The US is by far not the only country dealing with this. And some countries on the face of the earth are facing worse problems than the U.S. in the handling the illegal immigrants in terms of housing, food, extradition, etc.
