Remember last week when they said a trade deal was Done done done....... So is this more political fucking lies Here is an article from last week....they didn't name the country or the specific information on what was negotiated only that a deal was done.... So was this deal that was done LAST week the UK deal????????????????????????? This was written in an article from yesterday : The U.K. and U.S. agreed to a landmark trade deal on Thursday — yet the agreement appears to be far from free of tariffs. The deal is the first made by the United States since President Donald Trump unveiled his so-called reciprocal tariffs on countries around the world last month. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/04/29/commerce-secretary-lutnick-trade-deal-unnamed-country-approval.html
The tariff on UK imports was adjusted from 10% to... 10%. But thank goodness there's less "woke" now, right?
Well look at the bright side, if you're in the U.S. and want to buy a British automobile the tariff was reduced. Anyone interested in some American beef? Mad cow disease at no additional cost! Cause we stopped those pesky FDA food inspections thanks to DOGE.
The deals are worse than what was in place before..... now that's The Art of Bending the Knee. Detroit Three automakers blast Trump UK trade deal WASHINGTON/DETROIT, May 8 (Reuters) - A group representing General Motors (GM.N), opens new tab, Ford (F.N), opens new tab and Stellantis (STLAM.MI) , opens new tab blasted President Donald Trump's trade deal announced with the United Kingdom, saying it would harm the U.S. auto sector. British carmakers will be given a quota of 100,000 cars a year that can be sent to the United States at a 10% tariff rate, almost the total Britain exported last year, compared to 25% for Mexico and Canada and nearly all other countries. "Under this deal, it will now be cheaper to import a UK vehicle with very little U.S. content than a USMCA compliant vehicle from Mexico or Canada that is half American parts," said the American Automotive Policy Council, which represents the Detroit Three automakers. "This hurts American automakers, suppliers, and auto workers." U.S. automakers are concerned this could be a template for other agreements that could put vehicles they assemble in Canada or Mexico at a disadvantage. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The group added it hopes "this preferential access for UK vehicles over North American ones does not set a precedent for future negotiations with Asian and European competitors." Ford this week confirmed it hiked prices of some Mexican-built vehicles because of tariffs and said Trump's trade war would add about $2.5 billion in costs for 2025, but expects to reduce that exposure by around $1 billion.
The sucking-up continues......from 'we have all the cards and kiss my ass' to this. B1S2 and his ilk would be proud. Trump posts all-caps plea to China in early morning hours Donald Trump early Friday morning posted a request to China. The president took to Truth Social before the weekend, writing in all caps, "CHINA SHOULD OPEN UP ITS MARKET TO USA — WOULD BE SO GOOD FOR THEM!!!" He added, "CLOSED MARKETS DON’T WORK ANYMORE!!!" There was no further context provided for his remarks, but China has been a noticeable sticking point as the administration has sought to make trade deals around the world. In a follow-up post, Trump wrote, "80% Tariff on China seems right! Up to Scott B.," referring to Scott Bessent.
