Remarkable scanner results (PACW) About 150 tickers in watchlist (see list below), every 15 minutes getting option chain data for the next 3 months. Scanning the data for good looking ShortPut trade candidates using MidPrice. For the past days and weeks getting such scanner results like that below of yesterday ("nTrades" below just means trade candidates, ie. hypothetical trades the scanner finds/suggests). The remarkable thing is that most of the signals in recent days/weeks are generated by PACW, so there surely something very big is going on with PACW. Also remarkable is that ShortPut means being bullish, but as everybody knows PACW is one of the troubled regional banks doomed to fail, ie. but then it rather should be bearish... Mystery... I think the observed mysteries are caused by some secret rescue operations by the govt, ie. pumping public tax money into the market to rescue these bankster bastards, again, IMO...
The result is a little bit "misleading" b/c it is sorted after the score of each trade candidate. And the score includes also the expected PnL% at expiration for the same initial spot. And in this case the PACW results are extraordinarily high... therefore taking all the top positions in the list...
The above observation was indeed important. Look how much PACW has risen since then. And: since yesterday or so it has stopped generating that much signals. And: intraday this thing had increased by more than 15% today, but then fell again to now 7% or so.
PACW rebounces with such impressive looking offers to clients: Source: https://finance.yahoo.com/m/080496ef-f807-3090-b5e9-cdeb03d053b0/us-regional-banks-swap-220bn.html I wonder how they can give such an assurance that is 700 times that of the $250k of this near-bankrupt govt? Which product is used for giving such an assurance/insurance? CDOs? Some options constructs? The above article says this:
