The law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed - only converted from one form of energy to another. This means that a system always has the same amount of energy unless it's added from the outside. (As in the universe) People look like a carbon copy of what they were in the past. Religion seems to be the carbon link between the elements.
This means that since human consciousness is formed and stored by the brain, which requires a certain amount of energy over a lifetime to evolve and develop, will not survive the death of the brain, where said consciousness is stored. It cannot just go flit off into a new "energy realm" after the brain goes away.
An unlearned mind is equivalent to the mind and instinct of the animal. The learned elder knows the body of Man is the temple of God, the eternal Living God can never die only the body, knowing good and bad men live for a fraction of time to know the dualism of knowledge only to die in the body of the flesh/dust.
