    Hello everyone.
I would be grateful if you could tell me how to set the Relative Volume column in TWS. It shouldn't be that difficult, as the relative volume is available in all platforms.
    Thanks!

  2. Hi Arco, I am a big fan of Relative Volume as an excellent indicator of Liquidity in a trading asset. I hope some other ET member will be able to explain how to get it in TWS...

I follow Relative Volume on FinViz and check it every 10 minutes... for as many stocks as I am scanning or trading.

Their scanner is free for 15 minute delayed readings or you can pay for a Real time subscription. Either way you can set it up to auto REFRESH every 3 minutes.

Here is my set up to watch about 20 single stocks and about 20 ETF index stocks... I have two separate links in my web browser bookmark menu to view it with one click everyday anytime or keep open all day as it will auto update during trading hours if you set it up to do so.

The view i have is sorted by Largest RVOL to Lowest...

    Single Stocks...

    Index Etf Stocks...

This is the look you see for setting this up as I have...

    Hi EdgeHunter!
Thank you very much for responding and for the information provided.

At the moment I use Trading View as a scanner to find the Relative Volume, there is no delay. You can try it.

I just would like the relative volume scanner to be inside the TWS, for convenience..

  4. I completely agree... It definitely is easier to have it right in same setup/look as the execution interface...

But I found that the IBKR VWAP column (a monster important indicator) is not accurate to other software that does vWap... and IBKR overall service and products are/have been degrading over the years... So I chart in TOS, Watch FinViz for accurate indicators and use IBKR for execution only while I hold my nose if I have to deal with their lack of professionalism in service and product.

If you do find accurate RVOL in TWS please post info on such... thanks for the discussion.
