Reinforcement learning for animals

  1. Are there any studies on how electroshocks would improve your abilities to trade based on your failures?

As in you would receive small shocks every time you lose so you learn to overcome them the hard way.

This guy is an electronics professor that is able to produce small shocks to add jokes to his videos.

Maybe something like this would work to train us, dumb retail traders?

    The shocks only provide motivation

Maybe to discipline traders to follow their own trading system/plan...

You can always use a hammer. Low tech and more effective.

But because the average trader loses much more than he wins, one could reasonably suppose that there are already some masochistic tendencies.

Thus, adding more pain would be counterproductive.

OP is into something. Here is another good teaching device, you night a lighter and a wad of 100 dollar bills.

Anytime you break your trading rules (win or lose) you hold up a Benjamin and light it up. Watching burn it in front of your eyes helps you to visualize your stupidity.

  7. I don't have dollars, if you mean that I lost a substantial amount and I am crying out loud that is not the case.
Your little story doesn't add up

People learn by pain. That's the only way. Eventually they will learn.
