Hi, I am wondering if there is regulations or exams required to automatically execute trades using computer algorithm, for US stock and futures? Thanks.

    Nope. Nothing like that.

Individual brokers/platforms do have qualifying questions for you to answer as your account and/or trading rights are established. These vary and are subject to change/modification at any time.

Thanks. I am only trading using my own account. Is there any regulation requirement for HFT strategy?

  7. hotfoot, I recommend just pretending like you need the license, and get some study materials and go over it, you'll learn something you didn't know , but not that I'm aware of , and it depends which markets you are operating in/on

Think of it this way - when the day comes that Tesla and all the others get their autonomous vehicles fully approved and regulated will drivers need to take a test or get gubmint permission to use them? Other than already being a fully licensed and insured driver themselves.
