Hi, Reccomend low spread vs liquidity instruments where technical analysis might hold high probability information for algotrading. In my experience major forex pairs appear more predictable in short term, possibly due to tiny spreads. In longer term stocks appear less chaotic than forex and seem to hold higher probability information. Minimal spread stocks like many in sp500 are usable for daytrading. Penny stocks spread eat all short term predictability away, and if some rare hi probability occasion it usually comes out as non shortable.
Interest rate futures - ZN, ZB, UB US index futures - ES, NQ, YM Rate and index spreads trade on technicals, and they interact with the liquidity in the outrights. There might be opportunities for you in the cash market, trading liquid issues, sectors, etc. FX is tough since you never know what might move the rate, with the instruments so exposed to global markets.
