    Hi folks,

I'm looking to upgrade my charting setup from Lightspeed to full-fledged charting software. As a scalper, I'm often in and out of trade very quickly and value tick/second-based charts and the most 'realtime' data I can get.

I have it narrowed down to ESignal and Trading View (with real-time data add-ons) as both provide second-based charts. So, am wondering if anyone has compared the two (especially on this aspect) and has thoughts to offer?

It seems like they both should essentially be the same quality and it is just a matter of preference, but thought I'd check with this group first.

    Thank you!

  3. Tradingview is imho million times better than eSignal. You pay around 22/month for the highest tier and get an entire script engine, worldwide data (many Realtime) for free. Obviously if you care about US Realtime quotes for futures or all US stock exchanges you would need to pay extra for that but the rates seem very fair. And none of the shenanigans ESignal is playing. If you care about trade integration then I can't speak to that. I built several indicators and baskets through the script engine which is how I use it.

Is it possible for you to use them both for 1 - 2 months so that you can decide for yourself considering your needs, computer resources is much different than another trader ???

Web based platforms will never be as fast as dedicated desktop platforms.
As you can see Tradingview has a 1-2s lag even compared to a RAM hog like ToS.
    It isn't suitable for scalping.

I like it otherwise but I suggest you look elsewhere.
