I trade a few non-US stocks and also a few currency trades via Interactive Brokers. So my currency balances for a few different currencies will always be a net plus or minus. How do I re-balance these currencies so that I won't have a currency risk? Do I have to take currency trades to re-balance these figures myself or is there a more simple way to cancel out these "inconsistencies" in my portfolio? Here is an example of how it looks. (Actually I don't have USD as main currency but SEK.)
Have you tried opening up the Account window, then on your Market Value, FX Cash balances right click a pair. This should give you the option to close the currency balance, and/or close all non base currency balances. You will likely get a message reminding you of residual balances. This will give you an order ticket that you can transmit to the market to close out the balance. You can see if that makes sense. (I could not see your picture.)
