He's implying the US reign is over. China will take over next based on history. I really liked his video on economics 101 before too. Is buying positions in China? Who knows.
Ofcourse hes deep in. They have 4 000 positions in equities alone. A chuck of those has to be in. Charlie M. Has 1/3 of his net there (?) Old info tho. But i don't think that he's talking about changing world order, due his personal interest/profit. I think, he sincerely believes it to be so & i, as much as i wouldn't like it, have to agree.
That would explain what isn't said in the video. As world powers raise, people get richer but most of the rich were the ones that transferred over from the old empire. I guess the US is done when all the billionaires move over to China and leave the middle class at war holding the bag.
As long as any nation keeps the productivity alive, instead of printing, they will be, okay. & I wouldn't count on em leaving so fast, while the chances of em, being welcomed there with open arms, are quite slim.
When i looked at the lower pic, i thought that it's some sort of 2030 prediction. But then you see the date. (Low IQ, i know) And as great as it looks, all of that, all that took decades to be build, can vanish, in a splash of a second, due some political incident. (Like the recent events proven)
We all thought Japan was going to be the next big thing in the late 80's. I have Dalio's book but haven't gotten into it yet.
We have the internet these days so history won't repeat itself the same way. I'd imagine the US sees this coming and is doing something about it? It's like someone's telling you a stock is about to beat expectations. You're not the first or last to know anymore.
I wish he would have kept the same aesthetic as the first with the second. The first was a work of art in it's illustration. Currently reading "The Fourth Turning" which pairs well with Dalio's hypothesis.
It's tougher now with the internet, everyone knows it and studies it. For history to repeat itself, it'd have to be trapped with no other choice.
