I love putting C-Span on for background noise when the markets are closed and dvr'ing the other bs so I can fast forward through all the bs, including the commercials.

Anyway, since I'm sure a grand total of zero of you saw it, Rand Paul made some great points today on the Senate floor.

Say what you want about him, but at least he understands borrowing money non-stop to fund wars is bs.

That.... and according to him, we are sending Ukraine more money than we are spending on our own USMC this year.

Don't shoot the messenger. I'm just telling you what he said.

You just cost me a hypothetical million dollars dammit.

((--->IBOMD(G)ITFTRTTP)) ===>That equals "I bet one million dollars GWB is the first to respond to this post"
    :D
he must be taking a piss or something.

Well, remember the Biden regime has been telling us THE BORDER IS SECURE non-stop. So why the fuck did those Senate retards work for fucking 4 months on a bill to secure the border? Waste of fucking time.

They are simply trying to find more ways to spend money we don't actually have.

    Cocksuckers. All of 'em.

He made some great points. And before anyone chimes in with "Rand Paul this" and "Rand Paul that"... lets stay on topic and cover what he said.

If you didn't hear it, or now read it... then you can't really reply with any degree of credibility.

He said the whole damn bill should be renamed... "Ukraine 1st, America last". And like I said, he makes a pretty decent argument. (As Van ready's himself to pull knives and arrows out of his back)

I was typing at the same time you were. The previous post was not a reply to what you wrote.

Ya gotta give this guy credit though, at least he read every word of the bill and he attacked it point by point.

He should quit the Senate and go into journalism.

It seems all our elected politicians are worse than useless.
Military industrial, addicted to blood money.
Money laundering, it's something criminals do.

Rand is the ONLY politician I've followed daily on X/Twitter for the past few years.
He's been on this financial waste theme for a long time. Check his "Festivus" report at the end of every year. Sad to see the pathetic ways they burn our money. (https://www.paul.senate.gov/dr-rand-paul-releases-2023-festivus-report-on-government-waste/)
One of the few that cares about deficits.
About a year ago I added Thomas Massie (another Kentuckian) to my list (2) of politicians I follow.
Here's a 35 minute video to get a feel for how he thinks.

It's been that way for many decades. We've become used to it... it's been normalized/expected on the state and federal level.

Sadly, just about anyone can run for any political position. Then again, many are addicted to money (any type of money) and power.

Yet, I give Rand Paul some credit not because I grew up in Kentucky before moving to Illinois but because he called out the insurrectionists as being WRONG and UN-AMERICAN although it put him in a little hot water with Trump and his big lie MAGA supporters because he believed the big lie by Trump.

With that said, I have not followed the issue about the Ukraine bill but from what I've heard from fellow Kentuckians (military buddies) living in Kentucky...he wants someone in the government designated to follow the money to make sure it's been appropriately used as it's intended to be used.
