Depends on what you want to do. It has a paintbar facility, and it has many different types of charts and upper studies and lower studies.
For the sophisticated traders with programming abilites, yes it is. However with a little creativity there are many things you can do with it, and up to this point in time QT has been very amenable to creating new types of studies and indicators. *** To the OP, start making suggestions, either here (on this board0) or send them an email. Okay. What charting service is comparable to Quotetracker that allows for custom indicators? Looking to refer a colleague as Esignal isn't practical for his budget/needs. LinnSoft looks interesting, but what else is out there? Thank You.
You can do a lot of stuff with paintbars. Here is what I've been trading with on the e-minis for over 4 years--You can also set alerts with them. <a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i31.tinypic.com/25u5ddy.png" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
Its a combination of price action ("looking back x bars in this case 6) comparing to two LSMA's and then it just produces a signal. The bottom one (boxes) is MA conecentration paintbar. As the 25 LSMA and the 30 EMA get "in sync" with each other it produces a green box otherwise they are yellow or red meaning =no trade too choppy.
