    Just came across this...

Nvidia has added a new card to the Quadro NVS line... the 290.

It's available in PCIEx16, and PCIEx1... with 256MB RAM... so it can run Vista Aero.

  2. my nvs 285 runs vista also...i tried to find a 290 but can't...

Apparently Nvidia was initially undecided about 256 RAM on an NVS dualhead and eventually went with a new numbered model, the 290.

I got one which was made before the 290 was finalized... a 285 with 256 RAM.

Do you run Vista Aero on your 285?

  4. i use the quadro fx 4500 as my main and the nvs 285 as my secondary...

i am running vista ultimate x64

i tried usung my ati x1900 xtx and the ati x1300 and the drivers and my new macine motherboard were not supp...

so i am now an nvidia quadro fan...

amd/ati said sorry but your board is not on our list...too bad
