Putting profits from trading into VTSAX? Good idea?

Discussion in 'Trading' started by thedefaultone, Jul 12, 2021.

  1. Hi all,
I have been trading for >10 years. Currently make an OK side income from trading, not close to my main income but still decent cash.

I am actually looking to dump profits every month into a low cost SP500 or similar ETF/mutual fund.

Would it be a good idea?

Personally I am not comfortable with compounding as I have reached my comfort zone on risk per trade.

Alternatively, I can hold it in cash and adapt psychologically with a larger cash account.

VTSAX in margin account is a great idea. You can borrow against it any time you need. in the meantime it grows as the market does.

  5. Gbp, yea thats why.

  6. I believe that putting funds in VTSAX would be a good idea based on the performance of the stock in recent times.
