Hello I am an experienced and very successful commodities trader and investor. I have my own trading strategies developed by me. What I am looking for: A prop trading outfit which will (1) Allow me to trade in futures market using firms capital on profit sharing basis without asking for any deposit from me (2) Allow me using my own trading strategies and not force me to day trade (3) Allow me to hold my positions anywhere from 1 day to 1 month (4) Allow me to use my own risk management for each trade (5) Give me an initial account value that should enable me to take trades with total notional value of around USD100,000 (6) Keep an Overall Risk tolerance of at least USD3000 (for my trading strategies as a overall loss limit). In other words if I lose USD3000, I should be kicked out. Why I am looking for above mentioned arrangement and not open my own account with USD5000 with US Broker: As per my countries regulations , I can not remit funds out to overseas broker/company to trade on leverage or margin. I can only open cash accounts with overseas brokers and can remit funds for cash trading in stocks only. But I can work with overseas trading firm as a trader without remitting anything outwords. I do have USA Bank accounts. My earnings can be deposited directly to my US Bank accounts or can also be sent to my Indian Bank accounts. Also I believe, prop trading route gives a quicker access to the more capital as success follows. I would even welcome any suggestions.
If there is a scrutiny, the regulator can find it out easily. Essentially what they want is there shouldn't be any leveraged trades. I am highly competent in futures and as per their definition its a leveraged product. So i can not trade it directly by opening a brokerage account or by remitting a deposit to a prop firm. I know its a foolish rule. But then that's why we have regulator in our country (to create a cascade of foolish rules) Maverick74 At the end of day trading is all about taking chances. There is no sure thing as 'Not going to happen' I am very optimistic person.
Has nothing to do with optimism. The firm you are looking for no longer exists in the US. Just curious, why not just open an account with an FCM. Is 20 to 1 leverage overnight not enough?
Maverick72 As per my country's regulations, i can not remit funds out to trade in futures. So i can not remit funds to FCM or any other entity and trade futures. Thats why i am looking for a prop firm which will accept me without asking for a deposit. I outlined what i am looking for in my first post. The amount of capital and initial risk i am looking for is minute. I do have a good history of building small amounts into hugh amounts over a period of time. I am sure there exists such prop firm. May be the forum is wrong? Apart from prop firm any other (legal) alternatives are also welcomed.
Maverick74 I live in India. CFDs are also treated as leveraged product just like futures. No remittance out is allowed so as to do leveraged trading.
India has a booming futures market. You can't trade that? I don't understand. Hell, I use to know prop firms that actually set up office there to take advantage of the trading opportunities. Maybe I'm not understanding your question still.
