We've all been told that there isn't significant inflation at the moment at the same time everyone is harping about the coming hyper-inflation.

McDonalds $1.00 coffee is now $1.59.

Now *that* is inflation. Irrefutable scientific evidence right there.

Watery bad coffee to the moon!

  2. Apparently "McD's coffee" isn't in the Fed's "index of how to measure inflation". (I think it used to be, but it went up so much that it had to be taken out and therefore ignored.)

    1) Snarkhung like a mouse. What a disappointment. 2) He missed microecon in community college. 3) WTF buys McD's coffee? 4) Thread = moot as he gets unlimited coffee while operating the fryer on the breakfast shift.

Its a well known secret that core CPI is highly massaged to keep a lid on growth in COLA payments. In the not-too-distant future this farce will become more and more glaring and cannot be ignored.

  6. Yes.

The "Bottom Line Truth" about inflation.... is that it's the "cover" for deficit spending. (It's the government's way of stealing money from all of us in such a way that we don't object.... "frogs in the pot", you know. And there's nothing good about that.)

    :(

  7. LOL, this exactly. OP, McD's coffee has been replaced by piss in the CPI index. Piss has gone up in cost exactly zero, its still free. You so dum OP!!!

Uk same using McD index, £6.50 for a large meal, didn't fill me and felt ill after so atleast that hasn't changed up low £5 i guess, won't bother any time soon.

Lots of other things aswell, won't be able to push through great reset without hyper inflation, devalue everything so your happy to hand everything over to the state then rent it, got to over inflate the bubble so it bursts harder which is current stage.

Unless we all pull together and fight it lol it might save us from covid take our rights and houses and cars and freedoms.
