I´ve been trading european stocks for 15 years now and I would like to expand my possibilities trading US stocks also. As that´s a new world for me I´m a little bit lost and I need some advice. Would be great to hear oppinions from professionals currently working on props or using international brokers. I would like to find a broker with great commission per share for US stocks (I make a very decent volume everyday) or a prop that allow me to trade from home. It would be great if that firm also offers me the posibility of trading european stocks in the same platform. I can give more details about trading, funds and volume on private. If anyone could please give me any advice or get me in contact with any firm I will be very thankful. Many thanks in advance
Itrade2009 could you please give me more information about them via private message. Have you worked with them? what are the payout and commissions schemes that they have? Platforms? Dealmaker, IB is a retail broker, I can´t use their commission scheme as I make arround 500 trades a day. Thanks both for your kind help Any other advices will be very wellcome, please
piyayo, talk to Bright Trading. Since I don't trade equities I have no first hand experience but they clear through Goldman, are very knowledgable, have a good reputation and can probably cut a deal with you that works for all. Whether there are geographic limitations -- I assume you are somewhere in the EU -- I don't know. http://www.stocktrading.com/ Nevis trading is simply a rediculous suggestion. Good luck.
lightspeed...I know they have a institutional branch that perhaps you could negociate comissions/buying power. Could you not negociate commissions with Interactive Brokers as well?
Dealmaker, I was mistaken because I thoung that IB had the same commission scheme than in europe, but for US stocks are much better. So it could be a possibility, but there is a big problem with IB´s trading platform (TWS). I know that you can connect it to Ninjatrader but I don´t think that could be very stable. Any other advices? Iwould be very grateful if any of you give me any contact and a fisrt hand experience with any prop/broker. Thanks in advance
IB should work fine with ninjatrader as long as you are competent enough to run and maintain the system.
I live in Europe as well and I trade with ETrade (USA account) after seen many others (even cheaper) I decided to go/keep ETrade..... I have been with them for about 5 years and very happy. specially they are very helpful and quick if any problems etch.... Very good trading platform but only deal with USA equity. I am not a professional trader but I do quite few trades as well...
