Problems editing Coinbase futures orders?

I have been having issues with Coinbase since last Friday. Friday night after futures closed, I had a profit taking limit order above the market and I wanted to cancel it. The cancel button was unclickable in a web browser and the iPhone app would tell me "something when wrong" when I tried there. The edit button was grayed out and also unclickable.

I missed the open Sunday night, and my order was filled on the open. I bought back in 1000 points higher. I also set another buy stop at a higher price to increase my position and test the cancel button.

This morning, I was able to cancel the order. I first tried to edit it, but the edit button was still greyed out and unclickable. And to top it off I just entered another buy stop and the market traded through it without filling. I canceled and went with a market order. It got filled 100 points higher than the buy stop was set at. It's currently moving my direction so it's profitable, just less profitable than it should've been....

Anyway, have any of you had these issues? Did switching browsers help? I was wanting to move all of my BTC futures trading to Coinbase but for now I'll have to stick with CME.

    Thoughts appreciated

    (high volume tonight....)

I've been on support chat in the phone app for over an hour and they ended the chat abruptly after saying they could not see my active order in their system.

Maybe this is a sign to stick with a stable exchange.

What I am saying is...you can trade BTC futures on both Coinbase and the CME. Coinbase was giving you problems. So stick with the CME, which doesn't have issues like this, as it is an exchange with many more resources, and a deep pit of tech to avoid issues like what you encountered at COIN.

(I am backed-up on futures knowledge, and didn't even know they (COIN) offered a BTC future product.)

Ok I thought you was suggesting another crypto exchange. I just got off the phone with Coinbase support and they to me to cancel and replace orders when I can't edit them. That's fair enough, except when the cancel function didn't work all weekend. The phone rep told me to call in instead of using chat support if the cancel function doesn't work in the future and they would escalate it to someone who has the authority to do it. Chat and first level phone support can't do anything to your orders. Looks like I'm going exclusively with CME for futures from now on. I'm now going to start buying spot somewhere else as well. Probably TradeStation until I learn more about off exchange purchasing.

    Thanks for your suggestion

You're welcome. Here is a parting song for you to listen to as you try to figure out the maze of options with futures trading. Teehee.

I've been trading ag futures since 1998. My main reasoning for wanting to use Coinbase futures is that it's much less gappy than the CME. I reasoned wrong, but its not the first time.

I'm still fizzy from that 2.5 hour support party dang it!
