Hi All, I had no problem running Trader Workstation on my laptop till now. Recently I realized that when I click on the Trader Workstation 4.0 icon, I get the popup window of : "Could not find the mail class:jclient/LoginFrame. Program Will exit. I am not sure whether a recent installation has caused that problem or my recent java update has caused the problem. I unistalled Trader Workstation and java (all updates) and ranCCleaner and installed them again but the problem is still there. Here is my system information: Operating system : Vista Home Premium Java 6 update 11 Trader Wokstation 4.0. <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=2235495>
I have exactly the same problem with the same software configuration. Contacted Customer Support but was not able to resolved it. Anyone able to solved it ? The stand alone icon TWS start up program is using these switches: C:\Windows\system32\javaw.exe -cp jts.jar;pluginsupport.jar;jcommon-1.0.0.jar;jfreechart-1.0.0.jar;jhall.jar;other.jar;riskfeed.jar;rss.jar -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -Xmx256M jclient/LoginFrame C:\Jts
Delete that icon its pointed to the old tws instance. When tws installs it should put two icons on your desktop. Current version(one you just installed) and previous version. So delete all the icons off your desktop and reintall tws. It should put the new icon there.
I have only one icon now. Before I had two icons and it was woking. Since I deleted all Trade Workstation, all icons were deleted too and now I have only one. I searched online and found the following link that someone had the same problem but managed to fix it but I don't understand how he did it. Maybe this link will hint some experts to help us. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/fo.../thread/01a425a0-51a5-49f3-b52f-23b20005f028/
don't just uninstall Java... delete all the Java directories, plus all the java.* and jawa.* from your computer (usually reside in your Windows/system directory) before reinstalling. (well, don't really delete anything... just rename them with the _old suffix.)
My last call on this thread. I am still stuck. I have deleted Java and Trader workstation multiple timesa dn deleted their remaining folder and reset my PC and installed my PC and installed them again but the problem is there.
No I have not but I am going to do it tomorrow as I was not successful in solving the issue. It seems that another person has the same problem who is also stuck. Thanks anyway.
