Hi, Do any members have any tips to prevent major slippage during times of low liquidity or high volatility? I am developing an EA for scalping and running into issues with large slippage during certain times of the day. I would like to prevent trades that are more apt to slippage. I don't think the slippage filter or deviation filter work with my broker as I have tested both functions. I am thinking of implementing a vwap filter but not sure if a vwap filter would work. Any other ideas would be helpful. -Brad
Trade issues with a bigger handle. Low/poor liquidity is an additional trade risk. Trying to get a better fill in an issue with low volume is like "hollerin' into the wind".
Do you know what function can be added to an EA to prevent trades during low/poor liquidity? I am trading fx majors and having this issue.
I know nothing about that. In general, trading "anything" with low liquidity will have its issues some or all of the time. Any difficulty in managing stops should be avoided if you don't have a solution to the problem.... that is, trade something else.
