PPIP and GE?

  1. What does this mean for the stock. It seems they will be one of the firms that will be buying this garbage assets from banks for pennies on the dollar with the Government making up the difference.

So banks can sell junk for 100 dollars.

    government pays 90 dollars

    GE only pays 10 dollars.

Which is what I am guessing is the gist of it.

  2. Taxpayers get screwed

  3. Well it seems that the majority of the leverage is on the FED balance sheet.

but if the assets to go up to some point the upside could be great for GE and the other folks.

    This seems pretty unprecedented.
