Anyone know of any way to escalate tech support to Interactive Brokers? I've had a query that hasn't been resolved for 2 weeks. Response has been generic and unhelpful.
I avoid contacting brokers or charting s/w technical support unless it is very very critical. Let other people contact the technical support staff. Then their lives will be shortened. make sure you have multiple brokers. if one broker is down, you still have a backup.
Try try again until you get a different person. The responses range from generic and ignorant to helpful and onpoint.
You have to be very specific with both title and description of the problem, they have hundreds of tickets and if yours is a little bit ambiguous they will ignore it. Try to send it again rewording the text. One problem per ticket, don't include more than one issue in one text. I had to send a ticket three times once until I reached someone that could resolve it.
I am trying to get them to change the Tesla data for the split on the 24th of august but it has taken them two weeks to understand the issue. They missed a day so the chart looks ridiculous wit h prices still at $900 for that day.
%% THATS most likely why IBKR has had '' use 2 brokers'' in writing. I like 2 chart services with @ least one or 2 = non broker charts. Hope this helps, it helps me.
Gotta write some rules to detect data anomaly around corporate actions, can't trust anyone including bbg
Just keep escalating the ticket stating the problem until you get someone who will escalate it to technical support but don't expect too much from technical support though. They are just as clueless as everyone else who works at IB.
