at last check, there were 83 trading platforms; light speed was not listed in the top 10 and in fact they are prone to make unsupported marketing claims. Most use Ninja or TradeStation. When you look at the 1893 robot programs in iCannon, the 950+ robot programs in Striker, 700 in Futures Truth you will see most are written for TradeStation due to its superlative back testing ability; Ninja 8 is a joke. How good is Lightspeed I wonder?

Apples and oranges, man. Your talking about a very different community of trading which you probably just discovered with a few months of surfing.

If you've read thru the decades of literature for "System Trading", most would refer to those platforms. Most of the products traded are Futures. People move up the ladder by becoming CTA's to manage money or lease Trading systems for a fee.

Lightspeed grew out of the equities side. SOES basket and program trades etc, etc. They do retail but they also have a lot of pro/institutional/Hedge Fund accounts.

A similarity with both pools of aspirants is, the pros want to get into the upper bracket and put "Hedge Fund" on their shingle. But, the offerings would be very different and meet different client needs.

not true at all. Maybe you just starting trading yourself??? Tell me when you say: "But, the offerings would be very different and meet different client needs" - so name 5 very different offerings and 5 very different client needs that are all specific, measurable and documented. and please - no pontification.

Many traders never even heard of them. Go to any trading forum, even here on ET, and see how many people use those platforms. And learn how to use Google.

  7. From What i have seen in demo, i may recommand EZE EMS (formerly Reattick) pro , If you look to use Hotkeys for purely daytrading machine for quick in and out, though it's 395$ a month, adds up if you not trading high volume. It's available with Lightspeed and cobra trading.

  8. I don't know about Ninja Trader. TradeStation is extreemly popular Plateform and has Many Subscribed users and Many still using Crack pirated versions .
TBH anyone who never heard of Tradestation, must be in love with his plateform.

I do not know "what many traders have heard of" and neither do you. Graphs are worthless - they are marketing hype- pay attention.

So if you don’t know then why open your mouth and claim that “Most use Ninja or TradeStation”.

While charts/data/science can’t be worthless since it shows exactly what people use and are interested in. Traders and hedge funds pay for data, not for your guesses. Your opinion is worthless when it isn’t backed by any data.
