Pinnacle CLC Database

  1. Hi,

The Pinnacle CLC commodities database seems good value at $99. Has anyone bought it? Is the data clean and reliable?

  2. I have heard it is at least equal to CSI data, the industry standard for decades. I used CSI for a number of years. Expensive, and I wasn't so impressed except for the time duration (many commods had data to inception of trading going back several decades).

    I'd give pinnacle a shot.

I did. Very happy with it. Recommended in the Encyclopedia of Trading Strategies.

I am a very happy Pinnacle customer. Highly recommended.

  5. I've been using it for a while. Seems okay.

The update s/w is a little clunky, but it works.

I have been working with Pinnacle since 1992 and have been happy with them. I think if you are looking for a economical data solution for reliable professional quality data, they are a good solution. Pinnacle might not come with fancy software (charts ect) but it very easy to use and reliable.

Pinnacle package comes with data back to 1970 for many of the commodities, so you get a very long history period of history for backtesting.

They are one of my preferred data venders with TradersStudio.

I arranged to be able to offer a special deal on my site for their data. You get the standard CLC with 1 year updates for $243.00 and then as free bonuses you will receive the deep history and the Forex data with the borrowing and lending rates and updates included with all this. This is over a $450.00 value. Note we have not updated the site yet because the forex was added recently.
