Pentagon issues rules aimed at stopping rise of extremism

The new policy lays out in detail the banned activities, which range from advocating terrorism or supporting the overthrow of the government to fundraising or rallying on behalf of an extremist group or “liking” or reposting extremist views on social media.

Watch closely. A lot of so-called extremist groups are being de-platformed that are really not that extreme.

Sure, give us a list of the groups de-platformed by this.

Extremists thinking they are perfectly reasonable, there's a shocker.

Another dumb post, you are getting boring.

All right wingers here degrade into bumbling old men sitting in an fetit cloud of their own brain farts.

Sorry you said not that extreme.

Took a good few weeks but you went full retard like all righty guys do. You start off thinking you are a balanced mind with something to contribute but because you read more shit from right wing sources, it pickles and shrinks your brain.

Private companies do not want their platforms to be used by would be criminals to incite others to commit criminal acts. Public safety and the statutory laws are the guideposts here. We are generally free to express our opinions, but all freedoms have limitations when the run up against the rights of others.

The issue for this thread, for example, is whether CIC Biden would be able to order soldiers not to "like" Trump on social media.

    It's a slippery slope.

On the broader issue, these private companies will probably end up being regulated like utilities.
