https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/electoral-college-vote-certification-2020-01-06/ Washington —Vice President Mike Pence announced just after 3:40 a.m. Thursday that President-elect Joe Biden had won the presidency after Congress completed the counting of the Electoral College votes.
Why didn't Trump use the executive order? Are you happy with Beijng Biden and CIA mafia in charge. Anything goes now, legitimacy is out the window. So it looks like the public has no true representation but we still have to pay taxes.
I watched last night last night for several hours that Congress session of counting the Electoral College votes. Pence is typically a person with a boring stone cold face. I could see his face and he would sometimes turn to Pelosi whom was standing near him to his left...they would share this node / smile with each other as in some unknown agreement when someone "objected" about conspiracy theories and accepted Biden's victory such as when McConnell was speaking. I knew then that Pence had a full understanding of his role as Vice President especially when they return back to Capitol Hill more in unison after what happen with the Domestic Terrorists that stormed the building. Simply, it was good for America to see that Pence was going to respect Democracy and the U.S. Constitution...not Trumpism. P.S. I didn't see Pence acceptance of Biden's victory this morning and I'm hearing he gave a statement that didn't go far enough to dismiss Trumps conspiracy theories about fraud... I'll try to find his speech later today when the market closes. wrbtrader
In contrast, Congress can evoke the 25th amendment against Trump and make Pence the new President for the remainder 13 days of this presidential term. Had people in Congress been injured or killed...that's exactly what would have happen and most likely Trump and his co-conspirators would have been arrested especially the known instigators at the rally before the storming of Capitol Hill. wrbtrader
