The goal is clear: Passing the TST Combine Step 1 I'm right at the beginning and you are invited to come along the journey. A clean canvas as it is right now is a beauty for the mind.
Never saw it graphed out on a chart before. Interesting. Good luck on your journey! P.S. Just to refresh my memory...That 9K profit has to be reached within 30 days?
The 150K’s profit goal is 3K per step. Step 1 is 3K within at least 5 days. Step 2 is 3K within at least 10 days. Good luck OP
Hmm, well, the box listed on his chart shows that to pass step 1 it is 9K profit with trading a minimum of 5 days.
Since their max drawdown on 150K is $4500, so the money you can use is $4500. You need to make $9000, which is 200% profit. Also it is trailing drawdown, which is much tougher than simply giving you $4500 to trade. Because if you trade on $4500, as you make profit, your risk of blowing up is reduced. But for trailing drawdown, your risk remain the same no matter how much profit you make.
Yes. And no. With trailing DD you cannot compound your profits (increase your size as eq goes up - eventually you'll blow), which is a disadvantage. With NO trailing DD - your risk of blowing up is reduced ONLY if you do not compound your profits, which leaves your eq curve linear instead of exponential = the same profit result as with trailing DD above with lesser and lesser risk of ruin The best is NO trailing DD AND compounding your profits - you keep constant risk of ruin, BUT benefit from exponential growth, which is infinitely better with time. As with TST: the DD trails up to your initial equity, and then stays forever there. BUT - you still cannot compound without increasing the risk of ruin unless your daily loss limit is also increased. These are subtleties which one needs to consider very carefully when choosing Prop- and designing your risk management strategy.
Thank you all for the comments and good wishes! I agree with wmwmw and for me it is not really a 150k combine, I wouldn't even want to call it that since the risk limit is only 4.5k and the profit target is double that. It is a tought challenge for sure, especially with the time element (eventhough it can be bought out) and trailing stop added. The setup I'm using is Tradingview with their TST trader (Tradovate) platform. This will be pretty much a risk balancing act to push the account enough without buring through the risk limit. I will trade one or two markets, mainly the ES and I trade price action setups. The DOM is just for execution. These are the stats for Day 1: I do record all my days, so let me know if you want see a video or number based stats as well.
