I still work ocassionally in my old profession (mechanical engineer) as a consultant. This used to be my main source of income. When I worked in engineering, I traded the DAX open at midnight PST until 1 or 2 am. Also I put on swing trades using options (spreads and straddles). I also managed a portfolio for a family trust, holding physicals (bonds, ginnie maes), long term positions in equities and scalping the 30 year bond. I have been actively trading for 8 years.
