I'm old fashioned and still phone in my orders to my broker. I've also been using and end-of-day platform for accounting purposes. Lately my platform has been getting buggy and I've lost confidence in team that maintains it. So.....I'm shopping for and end-of-day platform that will track my trades and plot them on the chart. Which platform do you recommend?

Funny, but at the same time........unhelpful

I like talking to my broker. He speaks to a lot of hedgers and speculators and is always able to bring something to my attention that I hadn't considered. I've placed my own trades through TS and still do time to time, usually when I'm looking for a day trade. But all of my larger/longer trades go through my broker over the phone, as they are larger positions risking more points. I want to know how others are thinking about the market I'm in.

Anyway, I'd love to hear about platforms that have a great simulating function.

TradingView has a pretty good paper trading system.

I can't seem to find a way to enter a simulated order. So far I'm not impressed.

I'm not going to open another margin account to have access to a simulated account. After watching the turtorials I'm not that impressed with the platform.

If you are looking to do it with commodity futures, just use Ninja. Totally free, with a real-time feed. You cannot trade with EOD snapshots, so why not just use free real-time data? Sheesh!

I’ve traded without observing the market during trading hours for years. I do much worse when I watch it. I’m not a day trader and don’t want to be. I make a plan and set stops and contingency plans. End of day data is all I need. My broker calls me immediately if the market gaps through a stop or something like that. EOD is where it’s at for me. I’m like Billie Bean when he didn’t go to the games. It’s like I jinx myself if I stare at the screen.

Then just use any one of the multiple free charts you see on the web at EOD. You do not need data in a trading platform, since you do not trade.

You are a faker, and we do not believe in anything you say. Just keep doing what you have been doing for years with no data and your broker calling you.
