Packers Snatch Defeat From The Jaws Of Victory

  1. Might have been even worse than Broncos blowing it against Ravens in playoffs 2 years ago.

  2. Agreed.

Everyone will talk about the onside kick as the defining play. I think without question the biggest play in the game was the interception by the Green Bay linebacker who instead of running it back down the sideline for a touchdown (or at least 15 easy yards) just slid down.... and then the Packers started celebrating like the game was over.
Why slide with 5:02 left in the game? Makes no sense!

  3. The defining plays in the game were the two field goals the Packers settled for in the first quarter when they inside the five.

Man. I'm not a believer but it was like God himself said (with 4 minutes left) "I've changed My mind. Let Seattle win." I mean, that last touchdown pass at the end of regulation? Holy cow! That onside kick? Winning the coin toss? They should all have immediately bought lottery tickets after winning that game.

I also couldn't believe it when the Packers didn't go for it on that first FG. That's exactly what our coach (Ron Rivera) would do, play it safe. Then get screwed for it. You're an underdog, playing on the road against a team favored to win it all? You can't play it safe.

That or the 2 point convert, that ball never should have been caught it was in the air for what seemed like an eternity. WTF was the greenbay defender doing on that one, he sort of jumped and made some feeble attempt but he jumped like five seconds too early and just ended up putting himself out of the play.

McCarthy not going for it on the 1 twice when you have a beast of a back in Eddie Lacy seemed pretty conservative, even if you only get 1 out of 2 of those, thats an extra point, instead of 2 field goals, thats the ball game.

  6. At ~ 3:51 remaining, the receiver dropping a pass for a 1st down that hit him in the numbers.

    The improbable 2-pt conversion.

The guy who tried to catch the onside kick (one who was instructed to BLOCK AND NOT TRY TO FIELD THE KICK).. and have it slip through both hands and bounce off his face mask.

    Sheesh!

  7. Wow. Wow. Wow. If you are a Packer fan this is as bad as it gets. Up 16-0 at half. Up 12 with the ball with 5 minutes to play. You have to try hard to lose this, and they did. I am happy to see Seahawks go again. As long as Brady does not win another, which I doubt unless they cheat. They are 3-0 when cheating and 0-2 when not cheating.
