    In what may be the first court ruling focused on cyber insurance, the U.S. District Court in Phoenix held in P.F. Chang's China Bistro Inc. v. Federal Insurance Co. that the Chubb Ltd. unitdid not have to reimbursethe Scottsdale, Arizona-based company $1.9 million in costs for a 2014 data breach.(Business Insurance)

    Target case a cyber warning to corporate directors
    A U.S. federal judge's dismissal of a suit filed in connection with Target Corp.'s 2013 cyber breach is a warning to company directors to keep on top of cyber-related issues, says an expert. Target's latest 10-Q report said the company hasincurred $291 millionin cumulative expenses since the breach, which was partially offset by expected insurance recoveries of $90 million, for net cumulative expenses of $201 million.(Business Insurance)
