I want to reinstall Windows Xp soon, as I got a virus and after cleaning the computer doesn't work as smooth as before. I gives some strange errors and sometimes it justs hangs up... I want to backup Outlook Express emails and settings before reinstall, and restore afterwards. Any help?
tools, options,maintence, store folder, change to store in my docs folder.when its done save that folder of dbx files to cd disk for backup. reinstall os then do the same steps again and when done drop those saved dbx files back into new email folder. for your emaill addresses just export to a file and save it.
After a similar experience myself, I now use the auto-archive feature. Just make sure to archive them to an external hard drive.
