Hey Guys, when you determine Resistance and Support are you complimenting Technical Analysis with Depth of Market/Order Book Insight? Which Broker do you use for this? I was thinking it should be a Big One like IB to get a representative Look into the Order Population. Are there any good Books you can recommend on Order Book Trading? I will be going more short term during the Election and I wanted to find good Entries and Exits via Order Book Flow. Best Atikon
I use Sierra Chart with their own feed, You can get everything you wish for. Or even program it if needed. It’s said you need TT or Rythmic data feed Because order flow is signed (Positive, Negative) Otherwise you have X_trader or Jigsaw Trading. I don't trade equity.
Personally I think Bookmap with Rithmic (Futures) or DXfeed (Stocks) is the best. Although it's questionable to me if orderflow study can help you make profitable.....
As far as I understand it, you will never have the full order book, only whats in for orders at the broker you choose. So if you pick a big one, you might have a good idea of the real distribution of all orders in the market. Especially if the Broker has Institutional Clients
Oh, that’s true for something like Forex, but for Futures (and Equities, but with exceptions) you should see same no matter what broker you choose.
