Hi everyone, I have created a tool for options traders. Not for real trading but for education or training of one's mind. I appreciate any comments from practicing option traders. App sits on free heroku site and may take up to a minute to open as it goes dormant when not uses. Link is: https://optionsplayground.herokuapp.com/
Interesting. A suggestion: with lots of space in the app and targeting a broad audience, go with more verbose labels to make selections more clear to those that have interest in options, but may not be fully familiar w the abbreviations. Cheers! T
That's right! I use those and other abbreviations for years, rather internally, in coding and trading, along with specific structure names, and didn't notice they may be not clear to others. I will add a legend or dictionary or something on next update or use more generic names. For now, for what is on the page: rBF - regular butterfly BWB - broken wing butterfly SQRT - short back ratio spread (shape ~ math symbol of square root) That said, I suppose it's not a big deal for somebody who knows options. I didn't have complete novices in mind while creating this app. (Actually originally I had only myself in mind - I use the app for few years. Recently I added fancy GUI and some functionality and made a web attempt). Thanks!
