Options trading journal- question

Discussion in 'Options' started by IV_Trader, Apr 15, 2023.

  1. I was planning to start a journal (Short/Reverse Calendars), but after reading few

    journals, I have a question:

    * There is a read only/no replies option on ET?

The whole point of ET is trolling. This thread will turn to chaos. :D

No. But if you provide the right information, likely you will get enough good replies to make it worth your while.

if you provide poor info, no one will read or reply anyway. Most journals go this way.

Edit: I saw your post history. I see what you did here :)

IV is an old friend and really sharp/knowledgeable. He was doing dispersion trades before the 2000s. One of the few worth reading.

I realized that I exchanged a bunch of PM’s with him about weekly earnings trades like 10 years ago.

    invite him to the chat.

What would be the objective of such a journal?

Dude prints money. That's the objective.

  10. OK, so no journal...I understand.

    Then looking for insight:

    * Years ago, the IB cost for short puts Calendar was 25 cents (25$ per combo).

    * Now to sell ONE Calendar Spread on a 100$ stock is 10k (they protecting themself for the worse case scenario where the stock goes to zero).

    Anything better out there?

    TIA.
