Do you think one could have more success trading Equity Options or if they traded solely TF? Occasionally trading a couple others CL, YM, etc but mostly TF.
You need to find a strategy that gives you an edge to constantly be profitable vs the risk taken. Then, look for the product that best fits your strategy by forward and if possible, back testing. Then trade it in a live market and adjust as time passes. Since none of know what you have developed and what works best, and how it works with any of those symbols, it's hard to respond in a way that will help you. I would monitor all three and current market condition, then trade the one that provides the best edge for what is happening right now. Crude and financial indexes will be volatile at different times for different reasons.
Trouble with TF is not enough volume which lack of causes slippage, it is a fine market if you are retail and do up to maybe ten lots handful of times. TF is like 8% volume compared to ES. I have traded almost all Major markets, there is trend, counter trend and chop. In futures you make money in trend and in option selling of some type you can make money in 2 of the 3, providing your skills are same in both and all being equal, more opportunities in options.
