Hi, Any thoughts why IB doesn't seem to have options on Euro STOXX 50...? I have no problems pulling up options for the STOXX 50 futures (STX), which appears to have no actual volume. The EURO STOXX 50 futures, where the volume is, doesn't show any associated options.
Well, sorry for the stupid remark but, have you tried at the right time? Eurostoxx options are negotiable from 7:50 to 16:30 GMT
IB support got back to my ticket, and said it's because these options aren't approved for trading by US residents. I'm not sure what that's about. For one thing, their own website says that it is: http://www.ibinstitutions.com/en/trading/eligibleProducts.php For a second... why is my fund limited from trading non-US assets? I had no idea.
I'm trying right now. And also, if an instrument isn't being quoted right now... that's one thing. Happens all the time. But TWS doesn't even let me add/find the instrument.
IB classify them as 'options' not 'future options'. Maybe IB has them wrongly classified. The indication in the future options column in the above url doesn't really make sense if there is no such product!?
