I'm looking for a good broker/platform for trading options, and I really like the Options House software, but the commission seems really high. I mean, 0.50 per contract is fine, but then they also charge a 4.95 base fee. Interactive Brokers seems to charge roughly the same per contact, but no base fee. Am I missing something? I don't like IB's software at all. If I wanted to buy 100 options contracts on the same underlying in a day, but wanted to spread the order out over the day, then Options House will charge 4.95 for each block? Any suggestions on a platform like Options House but commissions like IB?
