    I bought :
    - 6 LXK jun17' 34 PUT @ 0.104064
    - 6 LXK jun17' 40 CALL @ 0.104064
Both of them were last traded at 0.10.

However the P&L of the PUT (-34) is lower than the P&L of the call (-17).
Shouldn't the P&L be the same since they lost the same amount contractwise ?
    What's the logic ? A bug ?

  2. If your software is showing that, then it must be due to the way it mark options after the close. Most sane brokers mark the options to mid: (bid+ask)/2. So just check the b/a of the two options and compute the PL based on mid to see if that is your case.

Ok, there are currently no Bids.
Got to see how the P&L is calculated.
By the way I use TWS but in demo mode.
And the option doesn't seem that liquide neither ..

  4. I am going to give you three rules I live by and have never broken.

    1. Never trade illiquid options.
    2. Never be holding, at any point in a trade, more than 10% of the open interest of any contract.
    3. Always close short contracts before the close on expiration day

The reason for these rules is to help make sure you don't get stuck in a bad trade and/or get exercised. You can't get out if no one wants to take the other side.
