Having phoned it in to this, an event that everyone since Mondale has attended, she's basically waving the white flag. Trump and Gaffigan were funny, people were either snickering behind her back or laughing at her outright. Schumer and a couple of others looked defeated. She's a deer in the headlights with a thin skin and no public presence. If I weren't risk averse to a fault, I'd bet the house on Trump at this point. Current odds and polls.
I think you're desperate and tilting. You're wholly invested in this and losing. No mention of the odds when Harris was winning but you're thread shows clearly what Musk and his $45MM was attempting to accomplish. You're fucked, loser. Don't worry. We'll come back to this thread on Nov 6 if you're still here.
OK, that's a bit of an unhinged response... but I wouldn't expect otherwise from you. Mark yourself down for a "stun"?
Wow... this has really hit a nerve, huh? Just vote and try to keep the discourse civil please It's a time honored event that raises money for charities and organizations supporting vulnerable women and children. How could anyone with a sense of humor, collegiality or good-will not see this as damaging to her campaign?
I support women and children by voting for women’s rights and free school lunches rather than supporting a religious institution that loves children in another way. seriously, I can see how she would avoid trump in public. She doesn’t get the luxury of saying the same things he can. And it’s not like pro life anti lgbt Catholics are going to vote for her.
The content on this site is largely terrible Beck... most people are just trolling or posting spam. So, avoiding it wouldn't be a big loss Unfortunately, the guilty pleasure of bullshitting and wasting time means I probably will be here after 11/6, lol. So I'm happy to be culpable for mistakes I've made in analyzing these matters. I admit it's not easy to provide great insight w.r.t. politics; esp. during an election year. What more is a person supposed to do?
I don't buy it. She can say whatever she wants and will be held to the same standard as anyone else. It seems to me that she's just having difficulty communicating with the voters. And, the reason I think skipping the event is significant is because it's an indirect affront to all religious people... not just Catholics, or Catholic institutions. Only about 23% of Americans have no religious affiliation(1); and ~70% are Christian. TBH, the best argument I've seen for her avoiding the event was basically that the Democrats are moving away from courting the religious vote(2).
