Oops! SCOTUS Draft Leak May Drive More Republicans To Voting Booths, Poll Says | The Daily Wire

"New polling suggests Leftist hopes that the leaked draft indicating the Supreme Court might be preparing to overturn landmark abortion cases Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey would galvanize Democrats and send them to the polls in November may be premature.

To the contrary, a new CNN poll suggests that the leaked draft may not increase Democratic turnout in the fast-approaching midterms.

“The share of registered voters who say they are extremely or very enthusiastic about voting this fall rose 6 points between the first survey and the second, but that increase is about even across party lines,” CNN reported. “Among Democrats, 43% now say they are extremely or very enthusiastic, up 7 points. Among Republicans, it’s 56%, up 9 points. And voters who say overturning Roe would make them ‘happy’ are nearly twice as enthusiastic about voting this fall as those who say such a ruling would leave them ‘angry’ (38% extremely enthusiastic among those happy, 20% among those angry).”

The beauty of the internet, not appreciated until the past few years, is that it gives voice to the deranged, the dispossessed, and the insane. Those from whom otherwise we'd not have heard.

  4. I will offer my never humble option of where dems are going to fuck up bigtime on this abortion thing.

First of all, let's stipulate that the factoid that they rely upon to do all their barking is the allegation that the polls show that the majority of Americans support access to abortion. I will accept that for the sake of argument but many of the polls are done by lefty biases groups - but I will leave that alone.

Where they will mess this up is to do exactly what has already started- even before this court leak -refer to Schumer's recent proposed legislation- is to propose legislation in every state that legalizes and provides for abortion all the way until birth or first grade, because -well- woman's body and no one is going to tell her when her choice ends, the usual shtick.

The problem with that (and you know it is coming because it is already here- just liisten to the rhetoric and what Schumer's congressional bill called for) is that - even one accepts the polling that the majority of Americans support access to abortion, THE POLLS ALSO SHOW THAT SUPPORT FOR ABORTION PLUNGES DRASTICALLY AND PRECIPITOUSLY FOR ABORTIONS AFTER THE FIRST TRIMESTER. And that is without even getting to Ralph Northam infanticide of American citizens born alive.

That's where it is going to get very messy for the dems. The national hysterical loons will go to the local hysterical loons in the states and get everyone foaming at the mouth about how they should not settle for any concessions in their proposed state bill because abortion is an absolute right even if the supreme court says it isn't, blah, blah, blah. Meanwhile, the more moderate voters who supported first semester abortions will just sit it out or vote against it, thinking "if they want that shit, let em go to some other state. They have other options."

Be careful Tards. You are not all that smart.

  6. Have to see where the opinion ends out. Right now the foaming at the mouth left is running around saying that if you elect Republican Joe Blow to the house or senate then abortion is gone.

Except the draft version- or at least what we have seen- appears to be referring to the states and state legislatures when it says that it should be decided by the people's representatives. The lefties are acting in many instances that there is a role for Congress but we don't see that yet.

So if I am Joe Blow running for Senate and Eliabeth Warren and the DNC have been on my arse day and night about how I am going to torpedo their abortion rights, I am just going to say:" Look my views are not as progressive as the far left but the majority of the voters in this state are women and they are perfectly capable of making their views known and I will respect that. I am going to Washington to help fix the reasons why your rent has gone up 40% and the price of heating oil has gone through the roof. The final abortion decision is with the state legislature, not the Senate? Boom. Not surprisingly, some of the lefty candidates will take that out too because it is the nature of a battleground state that you have to appease people on all sides to some degree to get votes. The last thing you want if you are lefty who just by a thin margin might be able to get a majority vote is to have far left national loon lobbyist start running stuff against you or promoting full nine month plus abortions ads in your state if that is not the hill you want to die on.

Democrats are calling up a bill next week that would establish a federal right to receive an abortion, and for medical workers to provide abortions, along with broader abortion-access provisions. It’s all but guaranteed to result in a tally similar to February’s vote on the matter: 46-48.

Every Republican, including pro-abortion-rights Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, voted no then. So did Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.).

This bill allows abortions up through 9 months
This vote will hurt moderate Dems

The best thing that can happen is Congress passing a codified Roe v. Wade by November to moot the issue. Otherwise, the media is going to whip the suburban women into a frenzy.

Only 3-5% of people actually support abortions that late. So it'll be catastrophic.
