Only 9% of traders earn positive lifetime net returns

Discussion in 'Trading' started by Prospergain, Jan 11, 2025.

  1. I’ve been developing and refining my algorithmic forex strategy for over a decade, and the results are solid. My backtest (2008-2024) shows:

    • Profit Factor: 2.41

    • Sharpe Ratio: 1.07

    • Win Rate: 59.93%

    • Risk/Reward Ratio: 1.61

    • Average Drawdown: ~25%
The strategy is Live on MyFxBook for a year, I’m now looking for ways to connect with serious investors to scale it further, ideally those familiar with algorithmic trading.

Any advice or suggestions on how to approach investors, pitch my results effectively, or explore alternative funding platforms?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I thought most forex brokers offered like 100:1 leverage? And that's still not enough for you? Damn son,you must already be rich!

    How many trades per year?

  4. 200

Is the Risk/Reward Ratio of 1.6 the average RR actually achieved?

And a win rate of almost 60%

If so then a Sharpe ratio of 1.07 doesn't add up.

200 trades with 60% win rate and 1.6RR would be a Sharpe ratio above 5.

Average drawdown is also meaningless unless you tell us what the average profit per year is in % that gives the 25% drawdown.

Is it 50% annual return with 25% drawdown or 100% return with 25% dd etc.

On its own it doesn't mean much.

I think it's just a lost scammer who thought he was on Reddit.

You are going to attract a lot of jealous haters with your stats.

Trying to get investors is painful and even if you do, very expensive legal paperwork.

I recommend going on Collective2 and selling your signals to monthly subscribers who then copy trade. No legal paperwork since all the capital from your subscribers stays in their accounts.
