No matter how January 6th is characterized by the DNC, their media and their social media trolls, the fact is, in the two hours the protest took place in earnest, one unarmed protester died and less property damage resulted than probably most ANTIFA and BLM coordinated riots in the previous year, much less than all the ANTIFA and BLM riots combined. Hell, most weekends in Democrat stronghold Chicagoland see more damage and lives lost than January 6th. This brings up an interesting question: If January 6th was so bad and every weekend in Chicagoland is worse, why don't Democrats feel compelled to do anything about it? Oh that's right, January 6th is political, just like the previous, multiple failed politically motivated investigations against Trump, such as the Russia Collusion investigation based on the discredited evidence by a foreign national known as the Steele Dossier. Imagine if all the money and hours wasted on Trump were instead used for those less fortunate, including many Democrat supporters. It seems to me the only problems modern Democrat politicians are interested in solving is to stay in power, which according to most polls, is seemingly less likely.
Republicans were in charge of both branches for the 1st impeachment and the Democrats weren't yet in charge during the 2nd impeachment of January 13rh 2021 (Biden had not been sworn in as President of the United States and the new DOJ guy had not been selected) and the lame prior DOJ didn't want to do much for obvious reasons although those investigations involved something different that didn't involve an insurrection on the Capitol. Simply, different people are in charge now and in control this time around with the public able to see, and hear from witnesses including Trump lawyers and family members (ALL Republicans) while the DOJ is now no longer under the umbrella of the GOP. Therefore, if they don't do anything now while having complete control...I think most Americans will be in agreement with you about the failure to hold those responsible for the attack on Democracy and attack on the U.S. Constitution. wrbtrader

By the way, how much time Trump has spent in jail as a result of Democrat political investigations, since terminated? If you thought "Zero", you would be correct. By the way, Obama had installed many of his allies into the US Justice system before Trump took office, leading to the nationally embarrassing political circus we saw. Trump's real blunder was not immediately clearing out those partisan hacks.
